Who We Are
BSCAP is Belize's music rights organisation. We protect the rights of music creators and rights holders whose works are publicly performed in Belize. Our members include composers, authors, publishers, performers and producers.
Our Goal
To protect the rights of composers, authors, publishers, performers and producers; collect and distribute royalties on their behalf; and promote respect for copyright as the foundation of a thriving music industry in Belize.

Membership is straightforward. Complete your application, submit your works, and let BSCAP do the rest.
Do You Qualify for BSCAP Membership?
BSCAP membership is open to all music rights holders whose works are publicly performed in Belize. If you fall into any of the categories below, you are eligible to join.
Composers and authors
You have composed or written at least one musical work that has been published or publicly performed.
Music publishers
You are actively engaged in music publishing and control at least five published musical works.
Performers
You have appeared as lead singer, background singer or musician on at least one commercially released recording and are credited for the performance.
Producers
You paid for or were the person in charge when a song or album was recorded, and that recording is now available for people to buy or stream — even if you recorded and released it yourself.
Successors and estates
You have acquired, by will or by law, the rights of a deceased composer, author or performer in their musical works.
Membership is open to Belizean and international rights holders whose works are publicly performed in Belize.
